(hereinafter referred to as “we”) as the operator of the website niklas-nienass.eu is responsible for the personal data of the users of the website (hereinafter referred to as “you”) in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union.

The protection of the personal data of our visitors is important to us. You can expect us to handle your personal data sensitively and carefully and to ensure a high level of data security. We observe the regulations of the German Federal Data Protection Act and the German Telemedia Act as well as the General Data Protection Regulation and will process your personal data only to the extent described in this data protection declaration.

What personal data do we collect?

In principle, it is possible to use the website without providing any personal data. However, if a person wishes to take advantage of special offers on my website, it may become necessary to process personal data. We only collect personal data if you voluntarily disclose them to us. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your explicit consent. Depending on the use of our site, this may include the following data:

  • If you register for our newsletters or one of our events, the data you provide there, such as your name, e-mail address and other voluntary data, will be transmitted to us and stored.
  • When contacting us (e.g. via visitor group form, e-mail, telephone or via social media), the user’s data will be processed for the purpose of handling the contact request and its processing in accordance with Art. 6 Par. 1 lit. b) DSGVO. User data may be stored in a customer relationship management system (“CRM system”).

Right to information, deletion, blocking

You can request information about your personal data stored by us and the purpose of the data processing at any time free of charge. Of course you can also tell us to delete or correct your data. If you have any questions about this or other personal data, please contact us at any time.

Newsletter

With the following notes we inform you about the contents of our newsletters as well as the registration, dispatch and statistical evaluation procedure and your right of objection. By subscribing to one of our newsletters, you agree to receive it and to the described procedures.

We send newsletters and e-mails only with the prior consent of the recipients. In addition, we use double opt-in and logging: The subscription to the newsletters is done in a so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that you will receive an e-mail after registration asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that no one can register with foreign e-mail addresses. The registrations for the newsletter are logged in order to be able to prove the registration process according to the legal requirements.

Since we send out different newsletters to different target groups, information about your thematic interests and whether you belong to a professional audience will be asked during the registration. This data is only stored and used to send you your selected newsletters. You can change your details at any time by clicking on the link at the bottom of an email.

As newsletter tool and CRM system we use Mailchimp, a newsletter delivery platform of the US supplier Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. The e-mail addresses of our newsletter recipients, as well as other data provided by them, are stored on the servers of Mailchimp in the USA. Mailchimp uses this information to send and evaluate the newsletter on our order. Mailchimp may use this information to optimize or improve its own services, e.g. for technical optimization of sending and presentation of the newsletter or for economic purposes to determine from which countries the recipients come. However, Mailchimp does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them itself or pass them on to third parties.
MailChimp is certified under the US-EU data protection agreement “Privacy Shield” and is therefore committed to comply with the EU data protection regulations. You can read the privacy policy of Mailchimp here.

Cookies

This website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your end device with the help of the browser. They do not cause any damage. We use cookies to make our website user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. They enable the website to recognize your browser on your next visit. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of my website may be slightly limited.

Links to other websites

Our website contains links to websites of other providers not affiliated with us. Once the link has been clicked on, we have no influence on the processing of the data transferred (such as the IP address or the URL where the link is located), as the behaviour of third parties is beyond our control. We can therefore not accept any responsibility for the processing of such data by third parties.

Integration of third party services and content

We set within our online offer on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis and optimization of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. DSGVO), we use content or service offers from third parties in order to integrate their content and services, such as videos or fonts (hereinafter uniformly referred to as “content”). This always presupposes that the third-party providers of such content are aware of the IP address of the users, as without the IP address they would not be able to send the content to their browsers. The IP address is therefore necessary to display such content. We make every effort to use only such content whose respective providers use the IP address only to deliver the content. Third party providers may also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also known as “web beacons”) for statistical or marketing purposes. The “pixel tags” can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this website. The pseudonymous information may also be stored in cookies on the user’s device and may contain technical information about the browser and operating system, referring web pages, visiting time and other details about the use of our online offer, as well as being linked to such information from other sources.

Integrated YouTube videos

This website uses embedded videos from the “YouTube” platform of the provider Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. This means that cookies are already stored on the user’s system when the website is called up. To prevent this, this must be blocked in the browser settings. Further information on data processing and notes on data protection by YouTube (Google) can be found here.

Changes to this privacy policy

We reserve the right to change this privacy policy at any time with effect for the future. A current version is available at this point. Please visit the website regularly and inform yourself about the applicable privacy policy.
