Space travel is currently undergoing rapid change. New possibilities promise profits in the billions and the richest people in the world are pushing into the orbit. At the same time, major powers such as the USA and China are expanding the militarization of space. In science, from medicine to climate research, satellite data and extraterrestrial research is becoming increasingly important.
In the coming decades, space travel will change the face of the earth. And the European Union has to decide: What role does it want to play?
We, The Greens/EFA group in the European Parliament, are taking initiative to foster a debate on the future of European space policy. In the webinar, we will thus present our new position paper on EU space policy, which you can find HERE.
